PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently convey sediment by eliminating a long sediment plug so as to prevent clogging within a pipe. SOLUTION: A sediment conveying auxiliary device 15 is installed in such a manner as to be interposed between the way points of suction pipes 7A and 7B when the sediment 40 is drawn in for conveyance through the suction pipes 7A and 7B by vacuum suction. The device 15 is constituted by providing a sediment storage chamber 16a for accepting the sediment 40 from the side of the pipe 7A so as to be freely storing it temporarily, a sediment supplying chamber 16b and an auger device 17, fractionizing the sediment 40 stored temporarily in the storage chamber 16a, taking it out, and freely supplying to the side of the pipe 7B or the like.
