PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the strength and air-tightness of a welded part of an outer peripheral part of a hydraulic transmission. SOLUTION: A front cover 2 and a pump cover 3 constituting a casing 1 of the hydraulic transmission are connected with the outer peripheral parts 2a, 2b fitted to each other, a light beam is applied in the direction of an arrow to an overlapping part 9 to form a deep welding part 12 over the whole periphery, and a seam welding part 13 for reinforcement is added at need. A flange 10 is bent from the outer peripheral part 3b on the pump cover 3 side positioned outside and a nut 11 for connecting a drive plate is welded. The flange 10 serves as a reinforcement for the casing to be useful for reducing the number of parts for connecting the drive plate.
