Materials comprising phosphorus organic groups linked to an inorganic oxide by oxygen atoms

Functionalized materials comprise organo-phosphorus groups connected by intermediate oxygen atoms to a mineral oxide of a metal M ; they are amorphous and form a monomolecular layer of organic groups attached by oxygen atoms to the phosphorus atoms. The materials are free from phosphate, phosphonate and phosphate compounds of the element M. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of the materials.
