PURPOSE: Probiotics consisting of lactic acid bacteria are provided, to maintain its activity for a long time, therefore the probiotics can be useful for improving the intestinal activity. CONSTITUTION: A probiotic consists of alive Lactobacillus clearans, and one or two kinds of alive Enterococcus faecalis being capable of decreasing the concentration of triglyceride and/or cholesterol. A probiotic contains alive Lactobacillus clearans, and one or two kinds of dead Enterococcus faecalis being capable of decreasing the concentration of triglyceride and/or cholesterol. A probiotic contains alive Lactobacillus clearans, and one or two kinds of alive Enterococcus faecalis and dead Enterococcus faecalis being capable of decreasing the concentration of triglyceride and/or cholesterol, in which the Lactobacillus clearans is selected from FERM P-17148, FERM P-17149 and FERM P-17150.
