PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear apparatus with a differential limiting mechanism decreased in the number of part items. SOLUTION: When load applied to a first and second output shafts are different, as the differential limiting mechanism for limiting differential rotation between the first and second output shafts, operating chambers 30a, 30b where viscous fluid is sealed are formed between a differential gear case 2 and side gears 4a, 4b, and in the operating chambers 30a, 30b, plural case side cylindrical parts 32a, 32b, 32c different in diameter are provided around the axis C of rotation to be rotated integrally with the differential gear case 2, plural gear side cylindrical parts 31a, 31b, 31c different in diameter are provided around the axis C of rotation to be rotated integrally with the side gears 4a, 4b, and the cylindrical surfaces of the case side cylindrical parts 32a, 32b, 32c and the cylindrical surfaces of the gear side cylindrical parts 31a, 31b, 31c are opposite to each other.
