PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating the horizontal resistance of a piled/draft foundation in the case of an earthquake within a short period of time with high degree of accuracy and a computer readable storage medium for recordinga program favorably used for the calculation. SOLUTION: For the method for calculating the horizontal resistance in the piled/ draft foundation transferring the load of a building 1 to the ground 5 through a friction pile 4 which a direct foundation 2 and the lower end are not reached to a supporting layer, the direct foundation 2 and the friction pile 4 are modeled by beam elements 2a, 4a, 2c and/or a plate element 2d, at the same time, frictional resistance between the direct foundation 2 and the horizontal resistance section of the ground 5 are modeled by ground springs 2b, 5a and 5b, and when the horizontal resistance of the foundation is calculated by the finite element method, the front horizontal ground resistance of the friction pile within a range of a specific depth (he) from the bottom of the direct foundation 2 is reduced in accordance with a length size L in the a horizontal pressurized direction in the bottom of the direct foundation 2 to calculate the horizontal resistance of the piled/draft foundation.
