PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact power unit capable of performing the maximum power follow-up control by reducing the ripple currents of a solar battery array. SOLUTION: A DC power source 10 is serially connected between a solar battery array 1 and a battery 7, and an output voltage Vc of the DC power source 10 is changed so that a difference between an output voltage Vp of the solar battery array 1 and an output voltage Vs of the battery 7 can be adjusted. Thus, it is possible to supply the ripple currents of the DC power source 10 from the battery 7, and to reduce any ripple appearing in the output currents of the solar battery array 1. Therefore, it is necessary for the DC power source 10 only to generate the output voltage Vc equivalent to the difference between the output voltage Vp of the solar battery array 1 and the output voltage Vs of the battery 7, and it is possible to supply the ripple currents from the battery 7, and it is possible to sufficiently miniaturize this solar battery power source. |
