PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof structure which is large in soundproof effect and easy to open/close a window and a door. SOLUTION: The soundproof structure is constituted of a stepwise formed frame 2, the window 3, an edge 31 thereof, internal and external seals 41 and 42 which serve as sealing materials 4 and shield interval portions d1 and d2 between the frame and the edge, sound absorbing materials 5 and 6 arranged in close proximity to the same, etc. The sealing materials each have a structure such that a magnetic rubber rod is inserted into a contact portion thereof, which makes contact with any of the interval portions. By virtue of the multi- stage sealing materials making use of magnetic bodies and having good sealing performance, and the multi-stage sound absorbing materials, infiltration of noises generated on either side of the soundproof structure to the other side can be drastically decreased. Further, opening/closing of the window is facilitated.
