摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for estimation of a central aortic pressure waveform P(AO), allowing for accurate estimation of the waveform P(AO) in a simple manner. SOLUTION: A differential blood pressure calculation means 92 allows for sequential calculation of blood pressure difference A(t) between a blood pressure P(RA)(t) of a radial arteries 44 at the pressed site with a pressure pulse wave sensor of 58 and a blood pressure Pd(t) in the distal end of the arteries 44 based on a model 94 from a radial artery pressure pulse wave P(RA) detected by a noninvasive sequential detection using pressure pulse-wave detection probe 38. Further, a radial artery pressure waveform estimation means 104 allows for a sequential estimation of a progressive pressure pulse wave Pf(RA) and reflective pressure pulse wave Pb(RA) of the arteries 44 using the difference A(t) and the pulse wave P(RA); a central aortic pressure waveform estimation means 108 allows for a sequential estimation of the waveform P(AO) based on the pulse wave Pf(RA) and pulse wave Pb(RA), and a propagation time Td calculated sequentially using a calculation means 106. Therefore, only measurement of the radial artery pressure waveform P(RA) and the propagation time Td allow for accurate sequential estimation of the waveform P(AO) in a simple manner.
