PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing composition which has excellent rinsability on the washing of hair, gives excellent touch to the hair, when the hair is washed and then dried, has excellent washability and foamability, and gives an excellent moist touch, after also used to wash a body. SOLUTION: This washing composition contains (A) a washing base agent and (B) an organopolysiloxane which has a silicone segment content of >=40 wt.% and has one or more silicon atoms each bound to an alkylene group containing a nitrogen atom and poly-(N-acylalkylimine) units represented by the general formula (1) [(a) is the number of 1 to 5; R1 is H, a 1 to 12C alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aralkyl or an aryl].
