WEAR STATUS GRASPING METHOD FOR RESIN MADE GUIDE FOR MOVING HANDRAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear status grasping method for a resin made guide for a moving handrail capable of quickly and positively grasping a wear status of a resin made guide and easily grasping a guide wear dimension. SOLUTION: A straightedge 8 is abutted on a surface of the moving handrail 6 in a curvature part of a supporting member 4 to detect whether or not the surface of the moving handrail 6 is concaved toward a horizontal width direction. When the surface of the moving handrail 6 is concaved, a clearance gauge is inserted between this surface and the straightedge 8 to measure a withdrawn dimension of the surface of the moving handrail 6. By detecting a surface shape of the moving handrail like this, the wear status of the resin made guide 5 can be grasped without removing the moving handrail 6.
