SHOCK ABSORBER FOR MOVING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber for a moving body capable of increasing absorbing quantity of impact energy by a bottom plate of a sunk hole provided on a base body of the shock absorber and certainly protecting an occupant and a load. SOLUTION: This shock absorber is furnished with a hollow polygonal columnar base body 7 constituted by sequentially arranging side wall surfaces 11 continued from a top end (a) to which external impact is input to a mounting end (b) to be connected to a truck (shocked body) 1 through a plural number of corner parts 12 in the peripheral direction, the sunk holes 13 sequentially formed in the longitudinal direction of the side wall surfaces 11 on the side wall surfaces 11 and through-holes 14 respectively formed on both end parts in a direction orthogonal with the longitudinal direction of the side wall surfaces of the caved holes 13.
