METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL-CONTAINING ALIPHATIC POLYESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aliphatic polyester resin capable of moderately hydrolyzing and biodegrading while maintaining mechanical characteristics such as film physical properties or molding processability and containing a metal in the main chain in a shorter time. SOLUTION: This method for producing a metal-containing aliphatic polyester is characterized by carrying out the removal of an acetylacetonate in the presence of an aliphatic polyester having carboxy terminal groups and >=5,000 average molecular weight and a metal acetylacetonate under reduced pressure and thereby extending the chain of the aliphatic polyester with a metal.
