The process involves feeding a pair of continuous external ribbon (3) and coupling with half mold, between which a continuous central ribbon (5) is inserted. Pouches are formed by injecting forming fluid between external ribbons. The external ribbons are made to expand against half molds. The central ribbon and external ribbon are joined along the perimeter. Before injecting forming fluid, external ribbon is preheated. Interceptors prevent heating of central ribbon during preheating and welding. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) double pouch container; (b) container forming apparatus.
