PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording method, by which the back trapping phenomena can be prevented from developing in a sublimation type thermal transfer recording, the cost-up factor of a recording material as consumables used in the thermal transfer recording can be suppressed and the image preservability of a thermally transferred printed matter becomes excellent. SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer recording method for forming a color image by selectively and thermally transferring from a two or more colored dye layer in succession to a body to be transferred, after respective colors are printed to the body to be transferred, to some part or the whole part of a region to be thermally transferred, a transferring type accepting layer is thermally transferred from an accepting layer transferring sheet and then a next colored print is repeated to the accepting layer to be transferred in order to form an image. Concretely, after every finishing of a print with a dye in one color, a transferring type accepting layer is transferred onto the image. On the accepting layer, a print with a dye in next color is executed. Further, in the formation of an image with the dye in the next dye, a transferring type accepting layer is transferred onto the image and then the formation of an image with the dye in the next color is repeated, resulting in obtaining a thermally transferred printed matter excellent in the image preservability. |
