PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye mixture having excellent color shade, storage stability, and water resistance, and being preferably used in a magenta ink for an ink jet. SOLUTION: The dye mixture comprises C. I. Acid Red 289 represented by formula (1) and a compound represented by formula (2) [in the formulas (1) and (2), X is SO3H or a vinylsulfonyl series reactive group; M1 is Cu, Co, Ni, Fe, Cr, or 2/3 Al; and M is H or a metallic cation], and a weight ratio of the former/the latter being 1:100-100:1. |
