PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water base ink composition which has excellent discharge stability and does not cause the clogging of a nozzle when used as an inkjet recording ink. SOLUTION: The water base ink composition comprises at least a coloring material and water, and additionally one or more organic amine compounds selected from the group consisting of hydroxyisopropyldimethylamine, hydroxyisopropyldiisopropylamine, hydroxyisopropyldibutylamine, dihydroxyisopropylethylamine, dihydroxyisopropylisopropylamine, dihydroxyisopropylbutylamine, dihydroxyisopropylhydroxyethylamine, dihydroxyethylhydroxyisopropylamine, dihydroxyethyl-n-butylamine, hydroxyethyldiisopropylamine, and hydroxyethyldi-n-butylamine. |
