PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare semiconductor ultrafine particles having higher luminescence property and chemical stability, and more excellent solubility into an organic medium than heretofore. SOLUTION: The particles are core-shell particles composed of zinc chalcogenide crystal cores and sulfide shells, and organic ligands are bonded to the particle surface.
