PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cut-resistant composite yarn having a fiber glass and a wire component. SOLUTION: This cut-resistant composite yarn has the glass yarn and the wire component in which a fiber glass core strand 12 has about 100 - about 1,200 denier, at least a first wire strand 14 is wrapped around the fiber glass core strand in the direction of the first wire strand and at least a first nonmetallic high-performance fiber cover strand 16 is wrapped around the first wire strand in the direction opposite to that of the first cover strand.
