PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional hard surface-having artificial baits which are repelled from fishes, when the fishes bite the baits, or which are judged to be imitations, instantaneously when the fishes bite the baits, and further to solve problems on the functionality of conventional artificial baits using soft resins. SOLUTION: This artificial bait 1 characterized by coating a hard reinforcing core with a soft resin to form a coating film and setting a fishing line hook (eye) 47 and a hook 44 for a fishhook at the outer suitable sites of the artificial bait main body. The soft raw material used as the coating resin is desirably a raw material which is soft and flexible and has excellent weather resistance, excellent durability, excellent restoring force, and strong abrasion wear resistance. For example, a silicone resin is the most suitable as the soft raw material.
