PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water base ball point ink composition which simultaneously meets all of no change in the ink composition even in long-term storage, good resistance to strike through, and excellent drying characteristics of drawn lines. SOLUTION: The water base ball point ink composition comprises at least water and a colorant, and additionally 0.05-5 wt.%, based on the total amount of the composition, at least one agent for improving drying characteristics of drawn lines to be selected from random copolymers to be represented by the formula: R-O-(C2H4O)m(C3H6O)n-H (wherein R is an alkyl group; and m and n are each independently a number of 1-40), and has a surface tension of 16-45 mN/m. A water base ball point pen contains this ink composition. |
