PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a functional material which inhibits the deterioration of organic materials effectively irrespective of using inorganic particles showing photocatalytic function and can sufficiently exhibit deodorant or antimicrobial effect. SOLUTION: This functional material comprises a multiple composite particle (BCT) bearing a structure in which the surface of the inorganic particle (T) showing photocatalytic function is partially coated with the composite particle (BC) between a ceramics component (C) and an animal and plant-derived active ingredient (B) showing at least one of deodorant, antimicrobial and antiallergic effects. Further, it is a functional material in which such a multiple composite particle (BCT) is included or/and held in the inside or/and on the surface of an object material (O). |
