<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head allowing lowering of its center of gravity through the secure fixing of a head body to a tungsten alloy sole serving also as weight member, and also allowing optimum adjustments of weight distributions which differ slightly between a toe part and a heel part. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 has a recess part 5B formed in the sole surface 5A of the sole part 5 of the head body 1A and has an opening 5D formed through the bottom face 5C of the recess part 5B. A protrusion 6A matching the shape of the opening 5D is formed integrally with the tungsten alloy sole 6. Further, the sole 6 is fitted into the recess part 5B and the protrusion 6A is inserted into the opening 5D; a space between the head body 1A and the sole 6 is secured in place by soldering, adhesion or fusion.</p> |
