PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and purifying conjugated dienes by which the formation of popcorn-like polymers in an apparatus can efficiently and stably be suppressed. SOLUTION: This method for separating and purifying the conjugated dienes comprises a step of distilling a hydrocarbon mixture containing >=80% of the conjugated diene under an environment where a polymerization inhibitor is present in a low-boiling distillation column 14 and providing first bottoms, a step of distilling the first bottoms under an environment where the polymerization inhibitor is present in a high-boiling distillation column 16 and affording second bottoms and a distillate portion, a step of measuring the concentrations of the polymerization inhibitor contained in the first bottoms and the second bottoms, a controlling step of changing the feed rate of the polymerization inhibitor to the low-boiling distillation column 14 and/or the high-boiling distillation column 16 according to the measured concentrations of the polymerization inhibitor and controlling the concentrations of the polymerization inhibitor contained in the first bottoms and/or the second bottoms, a step of measuring the concentration of the polymerization inhibitor contained in the distillate portion and a controlling step of changing the feed tray of the Polymerization inhibitor to the high-boiling distillation column 16 according to the measured concentration of the polymerization inhibitor and controlling the concentration of the polymerization inhibitor contained in the distillate portion.
