PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in assembling and adjusting works and to reduce the number of processes for the assembling and adjusting works by a constitution wherein a hammer mechanism is so constituted that a printing hammer having a defective pin can be manually repaired and adjusted in a condition that the hammer mechanism is mounted on a printer in terms of the hammer mechanism wherein the adjustment of the printing hammer is executed by adjusting an amount of deformation applied to a hammer spring beforehand. SOLUTION: As the hammer mechanism is mounted on the printer in such a manner that an adjusting screw for adjusting the amount of deformation applied to the hammer spring beforehand can be accessed in a condition that the hammer is mounted on the printer, a printing hammer having a defective pin can be repaired and adjusted in the above condition. As a result, it is possible to eliminate attaching or detaching of each component together with attaching or detaching of the hammer mechanism and various adjusting works so that the number of processes required for the assembling and adjusting works can be reduced.
