PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet page turning mechanism which is capable of securely reversing only one page after separating it and is combined with a printing mechanism to make the whole device compact when the booklet page turning mechanism is installed side by side with the printing mechanism as well as a page turning method. SOLUTION: A passbook 11 is conveyed back and forth in an orthogonal direction with a stitching margin by a plurality of conveyance rollers 36 and a tension roller 37. A rubber part 22 pushes a page 12 intended for turning to the center side by rotating a turning roller 21 with the rubber part 22 fitted to a protuberant part of the turning roller 21. Consequently, a gap is generated between the page 12 and a page under the former at the opposite side of the page 12 and a guide plate 26 fitted to a carrier 42 on a carrier guide 43 is inserted into the gap by the movement of the carrier 42. Thus the page 12 is separated from the page under the former. The passbook 11 is further advanced and thereby the page 12 intended for turning is reversed by the pushing of the back of the page 12 by the guide plate 26.
