PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device capable of locating, in an integrated space, a shift member outputting an electric signal in accordance with a shift position and an engine start operating means operating an engine start means and capable of mechanically locking the shift member when locking the shift member. SOLUTION: This shift device 13 is equipped with an operating knob 16 for conducting shift change by rotational operation, a pressing bottom 17 for starting an engine with a sliding operation provided on the operating knob 16, a solenoid 19 including a plunger 19a, a coil 21 for detecting a card key, and a central control part 18 for determining whether the person is a regular user or not. The operating knob 16 and the pressing bottom 17 are not operatable when the plunger 19a of the solenoid 19 is in advancing condition, and the operating knob 16 and the pressing bottom 17 are operatable when the plunger 19a of the solenoid 19 is in retiring condition. The plunger 19a is not turned to the retiring condition unless the central control part 18 collates the card key as owned by the regular user and a brake is stepped on. |
