PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel oil for boiler excellent in combustibility, having a high calorie and capable of reducing the necessary amount of a fuel (fuel unit consumption) and the environmental load. SOLUTION: This fuel oil for the boilers has >=0.900 g/mL density at 15 deg.C, <=0.6 wt.% sulfur content and <=0.01 wt.% ash content, causes neutral reaction and has >=60 deg.C flash point, 1.0-5.0 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 50 deg.C, <=0.3 wt.% residual carbon content of a 10% residual oil, >=39,760 kJ/L gross calorific value and >=23 cetane index and is used for binary fluid spray burners.
