PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of reducing the size of an air conditioning unit in the air passing direction of a heat exchanger for heating compared to a case using two air mixing doors without causing shortage of the cool air volume in cooling. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle is provided with a cool air mixing door 16 having cooling air bypass passages 15a and 15b in a face approximately orthogonal with the air passing direction of a heater core 13 and adjusting the volume of the cool air passing through the cool air bypass passage 15a and a cool bypass door 37 for adjusting the volume of the cool air passing through the cool air bypass passage 15b. By this constitution, the turning radii of the cool air mix door 16 and the cool bypass door 37 can be suppressed to be small.
