PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knit fabric having promoted heat-dissipation from the body by utilizing the latent heat of evaporation of sweat and effectively developing the cooling function and suppressing the hot feeling by quickly absorbing sweat, quickly transferring the sweat from the skin side to the outer atmosphere, increasing the spreading area of sweat on the side contacting with the outer atmosphere to increase the evaporation area and increase the heat-dissipation by improving the air permeability to promote the direct evaporation of sweat from the skin. SOLUTION: The outer face of the knit fabric is composed mainly of a mixture of a fiber having excellent water-absorptivity and a fiber having excellent water-diffusibility such as cotton yarn and polyester filament and the skin- side face of the fabric is composed mainly of a polyester filament. The knit fabric having excellent cooling function has the following properties; (1) water- absorbing time: <=10 sec, (2) water-absorption; 100-300 g/m2, (3) air permeability; >=90 cc/cm2.sec, (4) water-diffusing area; >=5.0 cm2 and (5) drying speed; >=90 g/m2.hr.
