PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating fluorine-containing slag by which slag generated from a dry reducing furnace of a carbon-based solid reducing agent-packed bed type and containing >=0.1 mass % fluorine is treated, and the amount of fluorine to be eluted from the slag can be controlled to a prescribed one or below. SOLUTION: Molten slag generated from the carbon-based solid reducing agent-packed bed type dry reducing furnace and containing >=0.1 mass % fluorine is dropped, e.g. onto an iron slab to form a slag layer, and cooled at a cooling rate of >=1 deg.C/min.
