PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal type pouch packaging device which can be automatically stopped without leaving an object to be packaged within a feed conveyor and a cylindrical film. SOLUTION: Upon receipt of a stop signal, a control means 30 stops a feed means 4, following which the control means 30 allows the device to operate until number of packaging cycles, after the stop signal is received, reaches set number of packaging cycles required for the device to complete the packaging operation of objects to be packaged left in a feed conveyor 2 and a cylindrical film when the stop signal was received, and then the means 30 stops the feed conveyor 2, a film delivering roller 12, a film feed roller 5, a center seal mechanism 6, and an end seal mechanism 7.
