PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily forming a decorative pattern having durability and design effect, and an adherend having a pattern formed thereto by this method. SOLUTION: The method for forming the pattern on the surface of the adherend includes a process for preparing a pressure-sensitive sheet containing a heat decomposable pressure-sensitive agent and an inorganic powder having self-weldability, a process for punching the pressure-sensitive sheet into a desired shape, a process for applying the punched pressure-sensitive sheet to the adherend, a process for heating the adherend having the pressure-sensitive sheet applied thereto to thermally decompose the heat decompsable pressure-sensitive adhesive to remove the heat decompsable pressure-sensitive adhesive from the pressure-sensitive sheet and a process for heating the adherend, from which the heat decomposable pressure-sensitive adhesive is removed, to weld the inorganic powder having self-weldability to the adherend.
