PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a signal including an individual code to each baggage and a passenger related to the baggage capable of being scanned over a wide range, to integrate with an already existing tag device at a low cost, to make it extremely adaptable and convenient in using in combination with an already existing baggage identification system and to continuously monitor a motion and a transfer of the baggage and the passenger at transport facilities. SOLUTION: The electronic identification tag is constituted by at least one cover strip; a carrier strip onto which an antenna and a transponder are mounted; and an adhesive for fixing the strip such that the antenna is clamped between the strips. The transponder is previously programmed so as to generate a signal having an inherent code mutually related to an index on the tag for identifying a passenger or a baggage. The tag is very useful for a novel method for pursuing the baggage or the passenger at a transporting facility.
