PACKAGING STRUCTURE FOR OUTDOOR UNIT OF AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging structure wherein a packaging member used in packaging can be reused as a mount in installing an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: The packaging structure for an outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a lower protector 1 receiving a lower end of the outdoor unit 2 of the air conditioner having a rectangular plane form and an upper protector 8 formed on a lower surface with a recess 9 into which an upper end of the outdoor unit 2 is fitted to be put over the upper end of the unit 2. The lower protector 1 is made of a corrugated fiberboard plate and comprises a base receive 6 with an upper end opened and a pair of cushions 7 made of an expanded styrene to be set along a pair of opposite sides on a shorter side inside the base receive 6. The upper protector 8 is made of a resin material such as a polyethylene terephthalate or hard rubber entirely including a thickness similar to that of the expanded styrene cushion 7. A band 17 is tied at a plurality of portions over the lower protector 1 and the upper protector 8.
