PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plane wherein a changeable abutting component which is deformed in an optional shape is constituted in a part abutting against wood and the like, the changeable abutting component is changeably adjusted by a changeable adjusting mechanism and thereby, planning can be surely carried out along a flat surface and an optional curved shape of wood and the like to be planed with one piece of the plane. SOLUTION: The plane 1 is composed of a plane main body 2 capable of planning wood and the like; a changeable abutting component 3 which is provided to a part abutting against the wood and the like to be planed of the plane main body 2 and can be changed to an optional shape; and a changeably adjusting mechanism 4 wherein a shape of the changeable abutting component 3 can be adjustably changed so as to conform to the shape of wood and the like to be planed.
