PURPOSE: A method for controlling hot finishing rolling of the rear end part of a material to be rolled by determining no-whip control timing and looper down control timing to solve interference of control flag timing between each of rolling mills and resonance phenomena accordingly. CONSTITUTION: In a method for performing no-whip control during hot finishing rolling of the rear end part of a material to be rolled (S) in hot rolling process, the no-whip control method during rolling of the rear end part of the material to be rolled in hot finishing mill comprises the process of setting looper down control timing using the following expression 2 (Xi=Tdi·Vi-1) and setting no-whip control timing using the following expressions 3 (Yi=Tnwi·vi1+Y(i+1)·Y0, where i >=1) to 4 (Yi=Tnwi·vi(1-2)+Y0·X(i-1), where i >=2)by setting tension variation of the material to be rolled passing through each of rolling mills (F1 to F5) and stabilization time of a looper system (L1 to L5) just before the material (S) passes through each of the rolling mills (F1 to F5) using the well known expression (expression 1). In expressions, Xi is down timing of a looper No. i, Tdi is stabilization time during looper down control, Vi is speed of a rolling mill No. i, Yi is distance of no-whip control timing, Tnwi is stabilization time during no-whip control of a looper system No. i, Vi is speed of a rolling mill No. i, and Yo is distance factor considering tension transfer.
