PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold for molding glass which has press molding surface of minute and complex shape and is made of ceramics and its manufacturing method, in the metallic mold for molding glass optical parts having grooves of minute and complex shapes such as a hologram optical element and micro-lens and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The metallic mold made of ceramics 20 is manufactured by vacuum deposition method by using an original metallic mold 10 on which grooves 14 of minute and complex shapes are formed without directly machining the ceramics.
