PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust from entering the pump device and also prevent occurrence of cavitation in the pump device. SOLUTION: The electric hot water tank comprises an inner tank 3 for hot water boiling, a heating means for heating the inner tank 3 and a pump device 6 which suctions the hot water from the inner tank 3 and pours it outside from the discharging opening. The suction port 19 of the pump device 6 is connected with the inside bottom face of the inner tank 3 and a circular wall 20 of a prescribed height with the open top end is disposed at the suction port 19. The dust or foreign substance which is deposited at the bottom face of the inner tank 3 is obstructed by the circular wall and does not enter the pump device, and the hot water which is suctioned into the pump device 6 from the suction port 19 flows inside the circular wall 20 with the open top end and is made to flow without resistance.
