PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film transfer instrument preventing a tape from entering the gap between a transfer head and the fitting groove formed to the inner wall of a head cover to enable the stable transfer of a transfer layer. SOLUTION: In the coating film transfer instrument equipped with a supply reel 11 around which a transfer tape T1, wherein the transfer layer T2 is provided on a tape T, is wound, the transfer head 12 constituted so as to turning the tape T around the leading end 12a of the head to return the same into a case, the head cover 15 mounted in the vicinity of the leading end part 12a of the transfer head 12 so as to cover the leading end part 12a and a take-up reel 13 around which the tape T, from which the transfer layer T2 is peeled, is wound, projections 19a and 19b are provided on the upper and lower surfaces 18a and 18b in the vicinity of the leading end part 12a of the transfer head 12.
