PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight interline rod which can efficiently reduce the resistance of a fishing line passing through the inside of the hollow portion of the rod pipe, can prevent a feeling that the interline rod becomes heavier when a fisherman holds it for a long time, and has excellent operability. SOLUTION: This interline rod in which a fishing line is guided on the inside of the hollow portion of the rod pipe formed by winding a prepreg prepared by impregnating reinforcing fibers with a synthetic resin, characterized by dividing a main rod pipe, on whose hollow portion inside the fishing line is guided, into four sections in the longitudinal direction, forming a highly water- repelling coating film on the inside of the second section from the tip end and disposing a highly water-repelling coating film-free portion on the inside of the third section from the tip end.
