PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel oil composition capable of sufficiently maintaining performances of additives, scarcely causing the formation of deposites insoluble in the fuel oil by reaction of the mutual additives, and excellent in preventing oxidative deterioration especially for a long period. SOLUTION: This fuel oil composition comprises a rust preventive agent represented by the general formula (1) (wherein, R1 and R2 denote each independently a 1-30C hydrocarbon group; R3, R4 and R5 denote each independently a 2-6C alkylene group; a denotes 0 or 1; b denotes an integer of 2-5; and c denotes 0 or 1), a salicylidene derivative, a phenolic antioxidant and an amine- based detergent-dispersant in the fuel oil.
