A shuttlecock having a moulded plastic top and a cork base is characterised in that the end of the top adjacent the base is formed as a disc having a depending ring seated in a peripheral step in the wall of the base, the ring being secured to the base by an inturned anchoring member interlocking with a recess in the vertical wall or riser of'the step. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, a ring 7 has an anchoring member in the form of an inturned lip 7a which interlocks with a recess 8a. In a modification Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), the anchoring member comprises toothed prongs. |
