The invention concerns a yarn with a central core made of a material soluble in a solvent wherein the rest of the yarn is not soluble. The core made of soluble material is in the form of a filament, the rest of the yarn consisting of an outer layer of fibres wound around said core, the number of fibres in the cross-section of said outer layer being not more than the spinnability threshold of said fibres alone. After a fabric has been produced with said yarn, it is passed in a solvent wherein said core material is soluble to cause it to be dissolved. |
