A door gasket (1) preferably made of rubber and preferably used in front loading washing machines, with a projection called as diverter (5) and its pocket (4), placed at top, is held by a clamping device (2). This clamping device (2) has a curved projection and it is embedded to the pocket of the diverter (5). This curved projection makes a spring like effect to clamp the door gasket (1) and increases the strength of the diverter (5) in order to divert the washing laundry inside the machine to the drum (15) instead of the door gasket (1) while machine running. Since friction between washing laundry and door gasket (1) is reduced by diverter (5), fiber loss of the washed clothes is prevented, and the maximum capacity loading life of the gasket is extended to extremely high operation life without sacrificing washing performance. Also spin extraction performance is increased and the overall power consumption of the machine is reduced for maximum capacity loading condition. |
