PURPOSE: A system and a method for driving a liquid crystal display module are provided to simultaneously drive the 240th line and 241th line so as to improve picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A system for driving a liquid crystal display module includes a liquid crystal display(11) for displaying data, an upper segment drive IC(12) for outputting data to the upper part of the liquid crystal display and a lower segment drive IC(13) for outputting data to the lower part of the liquid crystal display. The system further includes a common drive IC(14) for scanning the liquid crystal display, and a liquid crystal display controller(15) for controlling the liquid crystal display through the upper and lower segment drive ICs and the common drive IC. The liquid crystal display controller controls the upper and lower segment drive ICs and common drive IC such that data is displayed from the first and last lines of the liquid crystal display toward the center of the display, so as to remove a central separation line generated at the center of the liquid crystal display.
