The invention relates to a waterproof connection between a waterproof shoe and a waterproof pants leg or gaiter. A sealing cap (2) into whose upper end a sealing ring groove (5) is formed is fixed on the shoe (1). Said sealing (2), in the zone of the lacing (9), is freely disposed above the shoe, thereby making it easier to lace the shoe and to introduce the foot. A rubber-elastic sealing ring strip (3) with a tensioning string (6) is attached to the lower end of the pants leg (4) or the gaiter. Said sealing ring strip represents a counterpart to the sealing ring groove (5) and fits into it with little thickness pressure. The pants leg (4) is firmly linked with the shoe (1) by tensioning and lacing the tensioning string (6) once the sealing ring strip (3) has been introduced into the sealing ring groove (5). The invention provides a means for combining the advantages of waterproof pants, shoes and boots while avoiding the disadvantages. |
