The invention concerns containers for transporting glass sheets. The inventive container comprises a floor (1) provided with means (13) for separating the sheets, a substantially vertical, or slightly inclined back portion, means (12) for lateral blocking adaptable to the lateral dimensions of the sheets, and lashing bars (14, 15) arranged in the upper part of the batch of sheets, one end of said bars being slidably engaged in the posts (8) forming the back portion of the container, said lashing bars being pressed against the batch of sheets by a strap (16, 17) passing on said bars and on fastening points integral with the container structure. To maintain the batch of sheets in the depth of the container, the passage point of the strap on the lashing bar, on the side opposite the back, is capable of being adjusted to the depth of the batch of sheets. The inventive container provides enhanced stabilisation for the transported sheets reducing as much as possible the presence of non-reusable products. |
