<p>A thermo-active building is a construction intended to achieve major energy savings, while perpetually maintaining a uniformly comfortable temperature and hygrometry. The energy emitted by the light outside and the coolness and moisture supplied by the ground constitute the basic elements for maintaining this comfort. A thermo-active building is a low-noise construction, in winter it acts as a radiator and in summer as an air-conditioner. It may be constructed in the middle of the Sahara desert or on snow-capped mountains, and this can be achieved regardless of the number of stories, the use and the surface area. A considerable amount of domestic or industrial hot water is also provided by the construction. A thermo-active building is produced using ordinary and competitive materials and is a very simple and efficient technique. It constitutes a whole. See appended figure. A thermo-active building is equipped with heat-regulating insulation which is active and maintains its comfort as a function of outside climatic conditions. It is active (living) insulation, warm in winter and cool in summer, this being achieved in an autonomous and natural manner. <IMAGE></p> |
