The separator for water containing hydrocarbons has a top grating (5) above a partition (6) forming two chambers (7,8). The water entering chamber (7) leaves its solids in a chamber (9) with a U-shape deflector (10), above feet facilitating transport and positioning of the module. EMBODIMENT - A coalescer (11) separates the pollutants in chamber (8) which also houses a sampling chamber (15) and a vertical pipe (16) with a float allowing exit of the cleaned water.
